Biogas Dehumidification Units
ENEVA biogas dehumidification units are process equipment designed to remove condensable moisture from biogas and landfill gas in a controlled manner and to protect equipment from corrosion. Proper moisture management is critical for the stable and long-lasting operation of gas engines and boiler systems.
- Moisture removal from biogas and landfill gas
- Reduction of corrosion risk
- Design compatible with gas engines and boiler systems
- Process safety and continuity
WHAT IS BIOGAS DEHUMIDIFICATION?
Biogas is saturated with moisture during production and due to temperature changes within the facility, containing high levels of water vapor. As the gas cools, this moisture condenses and leads to:
- Water accumulation in pipelines
- Corrosion
- Gas engine and equipment failures
ENEVA biogas dehumidification systems ensure that this moisture is condensed in a controlled manner and removed from the system.
- Biogas is passed through specially designed cooling heat exchangers
- Water vapor in the gas is condensed
- Formed condensate is safely discharged from the system
- Dried gas is directed to the process or gas engine
The design is carried out considering gas flow rate, temperature, moisture content, and operating conditions.
- Biogas power plants
- Landfill gas facilities
- Gas engine and microturbine applications
- Biomass and organic waste facilities
- Wastewater treatment plants
ENEVA biogas dehumidification systems are considered not as standalone equipment, but as an integral part of the gas line. The goal is to ensure stable and continuous moisture removal within the limits permitted by engine manufacturers.
- System sizing based on biogas flow rate and moisture load
- Controlled management of condensation points
- Material selection resistant to acidic condensate
- Engine-compatible design with low pressure drop
- Optional condenser and heat recovery integration if required
Each system is developed with project-specific engineering calculations.
- Dehumidification unit body
- Gas inlet / outlet connections
- Condensate drainage line
- Support legs
- Lifting lugs
- Technical documentation
Optional:
- Cooling chiller unit
- Moisture separator
- Automation and instrumentation
- Insulation and painting system
