Economizer, Recuperator, Superheater
ENEVA economizers, superheaters, and recuperator systems are high-efficiency heat recovery equipment designed to reclaim waste heat from boiler, furnace, or process flue gases back into the system without additional fuel consumption. These systems increase energy efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and emissions, and directly contribute to lower operating costs.
- Recovery of flue gas waste heat
- Preheating of feedwater, process fluids, or combustion air
- Custom engineering design for boilers and processes
- Fuel savings and reduced carbon footprint
WHAT DO THESE SYSTEMS DO?
Energy released to the atmosphere via flue gas represents a significant potential that is often wasted in many facilities. ENEVA heat recovery equipment is designed to convert this potential into useful heat.
General principle: Every 15–20 °C drop in flue gas temperature provides approximately 1% fuel savings.
SYSTEM TYPES
Economizers
Utilize flue gas energy to preheat boiler feedwater or process water.
- Increases boiler efficiency
- Reduces thermal shocks
- Extends equipment lifetime
Superheaters
Used to raise the temperature of steam or process fluids. Commonly applied in energy generation and process applications.
- For processes requiring dry steam
- Improves performance in turbine applications
Recuperators (Air Preheaters)
Recuperators preheat combustion air using flue gas energy, increasing thermal efficiency. They serve as an alternative heat recovery solution in facilities where feedwater or process fluids cannot be preheated.
- Preheating of combustion air
- Improves burner and boiler performance
- High savings in thermal oil and high-temperature boilers
These systems operate on the principle of heat exchange between flue gas and the fluid to be heated without mixing. Each system is developed through project-based engineering.
- Smoke-tube, water-tube, or finned-tube designs
- Vertical or horizontal configurations
- Optimized pressure drop and compact surface area
- Accessible design for maintenance and cleaning
- Consideration of backpressure, fouling, and thermal expansion
- Design according to flue gas temperature, flow rate, and chemical composition
- Condensing or conventional solutions
- Bypass dampers and soot blower integration when necessary
- Steam, hot water, and thermal oil boilers
- Cogeneration and trigeneration plants
- Gas engine and gas turbine applications
- Cement, glass, gypsum, and metallurgical facilities
- Thermal power plant boilers
- Biomass boilers
- Industrial drying and baking processes
- Marine engines and generator systems
