Waste Heat Boilers

ENEVA waste heat boilers are custom-designed heat recovery systems that utilize high-temperature exhaust gases from engines, turbines, or industrial processes to generate steam, hot water, or thermal oil, either with or without additional fuel. These systems reduce energy costs, lower carbon emissions, and increase process efficiency.

  • Recovery of exhaust and process waste heat
  • Generation of steam, hot water, or thermal oil
  • Custom design for process or cogeneration engine types
  • High energy recovery without additional fuel

WHAT IS A WASTE HEAT BOILER?

Waste heat boilers are equipment that convert the energy of hot gases already produced in an existing process or energy generation system into valuable usable heat.

ENEVA waste heat boilers:

  • Utilize engine or process exhaust gases
  • Consume no additional fuel or operate at high efficiency (with supplementary firing)
  • Integrate with the main system
  • Do not adversely affect existing system performance due to optimized pressure drop

ENEVA waste heat boilers can be designed with different heat transfer media according to facility requirements:

Steam Generation

  • Saturated or superheated steam
  • Process steam, energy steam (turbine), or auxiliary steam applications
  • EN 12952 / EN 12953 compliant design

Hot Water Generation

  • Process or heating hot water
  • Low-temperature and hot water applications
  • Compact and highly efficient solutions

Thermal Oil Generation

  • High temperature – low pressure advantage
  • Suitable for ORC and high-temperature processes
  • Oil circuit design compliant with DIN 4754

In waste heat boilers, hot exhaust gas passes over heat transfer surfaces, transferring its energy to water or thermal oil.

  • Designs include water-tube, smoke-tube, or finned-tube configurations
  • Vertical or horizontal configuration options
  • Optimized backpressure, thermal expansion control, and surface area design
  • Heat transfer surfaces designed according to exhaust temperature, flow, and dust load
  • Integration of bypass dampers and soot blowers when necessary
  • Thermal capacity: up to ~10 MW per unit
  • Operating pressure: up to 30 barg depending on application
  • Materials: carbon steel / stainless steel
  • PED 2014/68/EU compliant design
  • Cogeneration & trigeneration plants
  • Gas engine and gas turbine systems
  • Biogas and landfill gas plants
  • Cement, gypsum, glass, and metallurgical processes
  • Industrial drying and baking lines
  • Marine engines and generator systems
  • Waste Heat Steam Boilers
  • Waste Heat Hot Water Boilers
  • Waste Heat Thermal Oil Boilers
