Project Justification and Requirements

The presence of low-capacity or intermittent steam demand required an alternative solution that eliminates the need for natural gas infrastructure, burners, and chimney systems. Additionally, utilizing the existing thermal oil boiler capacity and recovering flue gas heat were targeted.

Flexible operation with a high turndown ratio, high efficiency, and safe system design were considered key criteria within the project scope.

Engineering Solution Implemented

In the developed indirect steam generator, steam production is achieved without direct firing. The existing thermal oil system is used as the heat source, eliminating flue gas formation and associated energy losses.

A stainless steel coil structure ensures high safety, while proportional heat input enables flexible operation with a turndown ratio down to below 10% capacity.
